First Presbyterian Church offers a variety of Christian education classes for adults. Sunday school opening is at 9:30 A.M., in the sanctuary.
Our Worship Service employs an appropriate blend of traditional hymns and short choruses. Our service is structured around the Word of God. The hymns, the prayers and the sermon are meant to interpret faithfully God’s will as revealed in Scripture. Service time is 10:30 A.M.
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, or Communion. You do not have to be a member of our church to participate in the sacrament, as we invite all Christians to celebrate communion with us. Baptized children of believing parents are welcome to partake if the parents deem it appropriate.
Special services are held during the Easter and Christmas seasons including the following: Holy Week, Good Friday, Advent and Christmas Eve.
The Great Banquet is a weekend-long retreat where participants examine their faith and relationship with God in a fun and inspiring atmosphere. Through worship and study, people of all faith levels learn more about the love of God at work in their lives.
Everyone is invited to bring a dish and enjoy a meal together throughout the year.
In the fall and winter we have small groups studying a topic of faith. We enjoy a meal at the host’s home followed by our study.
The men of the community come together for a meal and study each Thursday at noon. The meal is provided.
Come and enjoy a free Christian movie, along with food and fellowship.
The women of the church meet each Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. for a group Bible Study.
